Get Involved

There are several ways in which residents and visitors can get involved and support the revitalization efforts of FDA.

Volunteer: Friendship is always in need of a helping hand. Whether you’d like to help out at our annual events, organize a community clean up or gardening day every little bit helps make Friendship a better place to live and work.  Interested in volunteering?  Email FDA.

Join a committee: Utilize your talents for the greater good of Friendship. FDA Committees include: Executive Committee, Real Estate Committee, Marketing Communications and Fundraising Committee, Design and Planning Committee, Finance Committee as well as several sub committees. FPG Committes include: Neighborhood Environment, Public Safety, Communications, Fundraising, Membership, Zoning and Code Enforcement and Youth, Families and Education.

Support our local businesses and artists: Come to Unblurred: First Fridays on Penn where various galleries and studios open up their doors and showcase a variety of artwork and performances. Visit Penn Avenue for a nice cup of coffee and some international cuisine or take a class at Dance Alloy Theater or the Pittsburgh Glass Center. There are numerous activities to do along Penn Avenue, just walk around and explore.

Join our online community: Join in on the Friendship website fun! You can blog with members of the community, submit news/classifieds/alist items, participate in forums and online discussions and more. To sign up visit the register/log in section of our site.
